We made a stop here on our way to Mt.Gambier. A burger fan so opted for the chicken burger the lot. Crazy delicious and huge compared to what we get in other places at that price. Always kept remembering the burger from this place. Went back yesterday after more than 2 years and the size and taste of the burger remains the same. Definitely stopping there every chance I get.

The best fish and chips I've had in my life! I had the small seafood basket which included a large piece of very succulent flake, the juiciest prawns and most tender calamari, and chips to die for. Great value for money and totally delish

I haven't had a full sized thick flake in 15+ years. Look at my photo, I can t remember that last place where the ratio of fish to batter was so good. Staff are also lovely. Will have no hesitation in going back.

Good size '2 pieces of butter fish & chips' pack for $16.50 was enough for 2 people. Choice of battered or crumbled fish & a serve of tartare sauce and seating areas at the front & side of the business. Staff were friendly as well so an all round good experience.

100% the BEST fish and chips I've ever had!! Fresh oil, the chips were like home made, cooked to perfection on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. Definitely not those crappy yellow frozen chips 99% of chip shops serve up these days, chips here are like wonderful childhood memories of chips you peeled, chopped up and fried at home. The butterfish was sensational, the batter perfection, lemony, sweet/salty deliciousness. Even the chicken salt was superb. Loved the friendly banter with the guy in the shop too. All this goodness and the prices are awesome too, a nice sized butterfish served with a pile of chips for $12! My local chippery back home on the Fleurieu wants $8 for min chips and for that you get half what you get here in the fish pack! Going to make this place my go to lunch spot from now on *Edit 11/25. Seems The Haven have sadly gone the way with most other fish and chips shops and are now serving the yellow frozen chips which are no where near as good as the previous hand cut chips but the chicken salt is still decent and the fish still amazing.
